About

The Illinois Association of Groundwater Professionals (IAGP) is a non-profit corporation dedicated to the protection and effective use of groundwater in our state.  Originally formed in 1928 as the Illinois Well Drillers Association, our organization later shortened its name to the Illinois Water Well Association.

In 1993 the name was again changed to its present form which, we feel, better reflects our professional membership within the groundwater industry and our expended scope of service.

IAGP members include state-licensed water well and pump contractors, water treatment dealers, geothermal loop installers; manufacturers and suppliers of groundwater equipment and services; state and local health department officials; and leaders of other agencies dedicated to the utilization and protection of Illinois groundwater.

IAGP is an affiliate member of the National Ground Water Association (NGWA), Water Systems Council, American Ground Water Trust, Illinois Environmental Health Association, Illinois Groundwater Association and the Illinois Society of Association Executives.

Contractor Education
Since 1998, IAGP is the dominate sponsor of contractor continuing education in Illinois. Sessions are recognized for continuing education credit by the Illinois Department of Public Health, Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations, the Water Quality Association, the National Ground Water Association, etc.
